EAC:

In short, the EAC certification is acertification jointly implemented by Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, andKyrgyzstan, involving safety and EMC requirements. The EAC certificate is oneof the certificates that must be submitted by the customs of 5 countries.

In February 2013, Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan formed a CustomUnion (CU) to implementthe Technical Regulation (TR) and implement a unifiedcertification-EAC certification .

In January 2015, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and Kyrgyzformed the Eurasian Economic Union, referred to as EAEU. EAEU implementsunified technical specifications and unified EAC certification requirements.

Depending on the product, EAC certification is divided into COC(Certificates of conformity) and DOC (Declarations of conformity).

According to regulations, the certificates issued by any authorizedvisa agency in the 5 member countries will be recognized by the customs of the5 countries. For example, if you plan to sell your products to Armenia, you canapply for EAC certification from a certification body in Russia.

Since January 2019, the Russian government has tightened thesupervision of certification bodies. Many Russian EAC certification bodies havebeen disqualified. Cancellation of qualification certification bodies meansthat all certificates issued by them will be invalid. Therefore, it isimportant to choose a formal and large-scale certification body to apply forEAC.

EAC's certification scope covers almost all electronic andelectrical products and toy products. The application is based on productsafety and EMC test reports, but most products currently need to send samplesto Russia for verification. Some products require CIG023 inspection reports(not limited to inspection institutions), and even Russian institutions need tosend someone to perform inspections.
