Vietnam issued a new standard TCVN 7830:2021 Energy Efficiency Standard for Non ducted Air Conditioners, which will be enforced from January 1, 2025, replacing the old standard TCVN 7830:2015. Before the new standards are enforced, enterprises can apply for  voluntary  testing and declaration of compliance of energy efficiency labels.


According to TCVN 7830:2021, it is applicable to stand-alone and split type non ducted air conditioners with:
→ Hermetic compressor
→ Air cooling or naturally cooling condenser
→ Constant speed type or variable frequency type

→ The rated cooling capacity shall not exceed 12000w (41000 BTU/h)


The TCVN 7830:2021 standard is not applicable to the following products:
→ Water cooling condenser type air conditioner
→ Duct type air conditioner (VRV, VRF, multi air conditioner)
→ Portable air conditioner
→ Cassette air conditioner
→ Stand-Floor air conditioner
→ Air conditioner with three-phase power supply
