Israel announced reforms to its electronic/electrical products import rules from September 1, 2022.
After the reform, for the products listed below, importers only need to declare that the products meet the requirements of European regulations and apply for EE (energy efficiency) certification from the Israeli Ministry of Energy, and there is no need to send samples to Israel for local testing. Is rael hopes that the reform will save energy, lower product prices, increase competition and product variety in the field, and bring more energy-efficient products to Israel.

A few points to note:
- Energy efficiency certification is independent of safety and wireless certification and needs to be applied for before the products are imported.
- Only ILAC or ILAC MRA test reports issued by accredited ILAC laboratories will be accepted.
- CE DoC and test report are required.
