On October 12, 2020, IMDA issued the enhanced security requirements for Singapore residential gateway (RG) or home router, with the implementation date of April 13, 2021. At the same time, IMDA gives a one-year transition period to prepare the industry and manufacturers to adapt to the new requirements. The transition period ends on October 12, 2021.

However, due to the strong response of the industry and manufacturers, IMDA decided to delay the enhanced security requirements of Singapore residential gateway (RG) or home router until May 1, 2022. In other words, these routers not registered with IMDA cannot be sold to the local market from May 2022. These unregistered products can only be imported in the name of re-export by dealers with dealer's personal license.

In addition, please note that the residential gateway (RG) or home router registered with IMDA needs to affix the compliance label of IMDA and the network security label of CSA (Cyber Security Agency) on the equipment or its package.

Our company can provide IMDA and network security mark certification service.
