The Ministry of the interior and the Ministry of Communications (MIC) of Japan issued Decree No. 87. According to the decree, the following regulations have been partially amended:

1.Radio law enforcement regulations

2.Radio equipment regulations

3.Technical regulation compliance certification of specific radio equipment

The amendments relate to ultra wideband wireless systems for outdoor use and radar systems transmitting short wave electromagnetic signals (millimeter wave radar).
MIC has expanded the use of UWB Technology in the 7.25-9 GHz band. In addition, MIC notifies UWB that the equipment shall have the following functions:
-The average antenna power is - 41.3 DBM / MHz or less
-The peak power of the antenna is 0 DBM / 50 MHz or less
-The tolerance of occupied bandwidth shall be 1.75 GHz
-The frequency bandwidth of the radiated power is 10 dB lower than the maximum radiated power: 450 MHz or higher

-The enclosure shall be designed to prevent easy opening

This document revises the technical requirements of 60 GHz band millimeter wave radar. These include:
-Frequency allocation: 57ghz ~ 64ghz
-The antenna power shall be less than or equal to 12 DBM
-The equivalent isotropic radiation power shall be less than or equal to 17 DBM
-Pulse amplitude modulation
