Thailand TISI officially implemented TIS 62368 part 1-2563 standard

TISI, the Ministry of industry of Thailand, officially announced the implementation of the new TIS 62368 part 1-2563 standard on June 24, 2022. TIS 62368 part 1-2563 standard is based on IEC 62368-1 and covers audio and video equipment and information and communication technology equipment. The detailed product catalogue is as follows:  

(1) radio receiver industry products  

(2) television receiver industry products  

(3) signal amplifier industry products  

(4) disc player industrial products  

(5) video game consoles  

(6) wireless microphone receivers  

(7) radio receiver industry products  

(8) television receiver industry products  

(9) satellite receiver industry products  

(10) loudspeaker industry products with signal amplification  

(11) signal converter industry products  

(12) signal modifier industry products  

(13) audio mixer industry products  

(14) electronic musical instrument industry products  

(15) audio and video players  

(16) audio and video receivers via the Internet  

(17) cable television receiver industry products  

(18) audio and video converter  

(19) electrical power supplies for electronic appliances used with Industrial products Article 2 (1) – (18)  

(20) electrical power supplies for mobile phones and tablets

According to the notice, products of categories (1) to (19) must obtain TiSi certificate from December 21, 2022, while products of category (20) must obtain TiSi certificate from October 17, 2023. If the relevant products do not have TiSi certificate and logo, they cannot be sold in the Thai market after the deadline, except for electronic equipment with voltage lower than 50 V A.C. or 75 V D.C. and class L products used for public and professional purposes in articles (1) to (18).  

Due to the implementation of the new standard tis 62368 part 1-2563, all certificates under the old standard tis 1195-2536 will be automatically revoked on December 21, 2022.
