The new technical specification gen002 "requirements for specific ICT equipment" lists detailed requirements for mobile phones, tablets, mobile computers, mobile routers, client devices and cellular IoT devices.

In addition, all mobile phones, tablets and mobile computer software must be attached with CITC e-label electronic label.

Some frequently asked questions about the new technical specification are as follows:
Q: Do products that have obtained certificates need to be updated?
A: As long as the product has not changed, there is no need to update the current valid certificate. In addition, the certificate renewal procedure has not changed.
Q: Does the product provided for testing after the implementation date need to comply with the new technical specifications?
A: Yes, all products must comply with the new technical specifications.
Q: Is it necessary to update the e-label electronic label of certified products?
A: E-label electronic label is applicable to any product entering the kingdom of Saudi Arabia since the implementation date, but the products already on the market do not need to update the previous electronic label. However, CITC encourages updating according to the new technical specifications as much as possible.
