UAE announces termination of 2G network

The UAE telecommunications and digital government authority (TDRA) has recently informed that the 2g (GSM) network will be completely shut down. 

TDRA is preparing to use a new generation of telecommunications technology. Therefore, service providers plan to stop using 2G network by the end of 2022. Therefore, from June 2022, devices that only support 2G will not be sold in the UAE market.
