From December 31, 2022, Saudi SASO will start to enforce RoHS requirements on communication and IT products.
The communication and IT products that have been put on the market before the implementation date will have a transition period and can continue to be sold for 365 days. After the end of the transition period, the product must comply with this regulation, otherwise it will be recalled.
It should be noted that RoHS, as a part of SASO certification, is valid for one year.
Small household appliances – July 4, 2022
Large household appliances – October 2, 2022
Communication and information technology equipment – December 31, 2022
Lighting – March 31, 2023
Electrical and electronic tools and equipment – June 29, 2023
Toys, entertainment equipment and sports equipment – September 27, 2023
Monitoring and Control Tools – December 26, 2023
