Thailand held the TISI meeting on July 26, 2022. The following is a summary of the key contents:
-The certificate under the old standard TIS195-2536 will be automatically revoked on December 21, 2022. The certificate holder in the old standard TIS1195-2536 can submit a new application to TISI according to TIS62368 part 1-2563. At the same time, the certificate holder may also submit an application to TISI to renew the validity period of TIS 195-2536 certificate. TISI can approve the renewal of the validity period of TIS195-2536 certificate up to 1 year, and the actual renewal period is determined by TISI.
-The new standard will cover mobile phone wireless chargers connected to 220VAC.
-The electrical plug size specified in TIS 62368 part 1-2563 shall conform to Thai Standard TIS166-2549.
-TIS 62368 part 1-2563 requires factory audit. If the factory is in a country (such as China) where the factory inspector cannot go, it can conduct quality control document evaluation instead of on-site audit.
-TIS 62368 part 1-2563 requires local testing in Thailand. TISI only accepts IEC62368-1:2018 test report of high-end electronic equipment.
