Saudi Arabia SASO will enforce domestic RoHS regulations

Saudi Arabia standards, metrology and quality organization (SASO) published the domestic RoHS document in July 2021. The document stipulates that six hazardous substances in electronic and electrical equipment (eees) will be restricted from January 5, 2022. 

Note: according to Encyclopedia, ROHS is the English abbreviation of the restriction of the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. ROHS standards adopted by countries all over the world are based on iec62321 standard, while the new European ROHS is directive 2011 / 65 / EU, which is a mandatory standard. Please note that for certified products that have been put on the market, a temporary grace period can be extended until July 9, 2022.
