Egypt approves launch of VOLTE service

Egypt's National Telecommunications Authority (NTRA) recently notified that it approved voice call service ( VOLTE) through 4G technology.

VOLTE is expected to significantly improve the quality of services provided to citizens. Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei and other companies asked Egypt to approve the launch of VOLTE, hoping to provide their users with the best quality and fastest service possible. VOLTE has advantages in voice purity and clarity. It can provide users with high-quality audio calls without paying any additional cost. It is worth noting that Egyptian Telecom provides VOLTE services in 700MHz, 1800MHz and 2600mhz frequency bands, which can provide the best coverage in 700MHz frequency band and excellent speed in 2600mhz frequency band. In addition, equipment using volte technology must be approved by NTRA.  

Note: Voice over LTE is a voice service based on IMS. It is an IP data transmission technology. It does not need 2G / 3G network. All services are carried on 4G network, which can realize the unification of data and voice services under the same network. In other words, 4G network not only provides high-speed data services, but also provides high-quality audio and video calls, which requires volte technology.
